Silo Pressure
A mechanical device put on a silo’s roof with the ability to release or inject air is referred to as a pressure relief valve or safety valve. The safety valve operates by balancing the pressure when the internal pressure reaches specific levels during filling or unloading.
So long as the safety valve is always prepared to add or remove air in the event that the internal pressure exceeds the predetermined limitations, the silo remains intact by pressure fluctuations that take place internally.
A pressure relief valve is made of steel and is perfect for use on cement silos in the ready-mix concrete industry, but it can also be utilized in any other application that involves bulk material storage.
