Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying

Dense phase pneumatic transport systems can be used to transport a wide range of bulk materials, either powders or pellets. They can achieve distances exceeding 500 metres and capacities exceeding 100 t/h.

The low conveyor speed used in dense phase pneumatic systems helps to prevent material degradation and protects the quality and integrity of the product. It is suitable for handling any type of product, including fragile, abrasive and gritty materials and mixtures.

Dense phase transportation has a high product-to-air ratio. The approximate ratio of air or gaseous fluid to product is approximately 30 L of gas per 1Kg of product. 

Pneumatic transportation systems offer the benefit of low maintenance costs: the number of spare parts and maintenance services required for the operation of the system is limited.

Dense phase air transportation is characterized by low speed and high pressure. 

 

The standard and total pneumatic cleaning conveyor is suitable for a wide variety of applications. The transmission line is emptied and flushed after each transmission cycle.

Application examples:

  1. Transfer of dosage products from scales to destination.
  2. Conveying blends from the mixer to the destination. 

The Full Pipeline is an innovative technology that allows you to control the pressure and speed inside the pipeline using a PLC and dedicated software. The transmission cycle is carried out along the entire product pipeline to achieve significant air and energy savings. Full-line systems are used for handling brittle and abrasive materials over long distances. 

The line has two parallel pipes: a pipe is used to transport the material to the destination, the other is used to add air to the pipeline through the amplifiers.

To reduce air consumption and optimize efficiency, pneumatic solenoid valves are placed at the front of each destination.

This type of conveying system works by pushing the material along the line as a plug, using compressed air in the pipeline from a pressure vessel.
